third day in Bali

okay so i lied that i was going to document my trip to Bali everyday. forgive me that i was having a good time in Bali! my first impression of the place we're staying in bali is not great. there's mosquitoes and geckos everywhere. but the more i stayed, the more i fell in love with this place. since i understand a little Indonesian, the locals that are working in my villa said that the insects are scarce compare to where they live. though frequently finding dead bugs on my pillow and bed sheet wasn't pleasant, i've learnt that these are all part of my experience in Bali and i've grown to like it!

our stay here is fabulous. aunt kim and uncle soren kieler can always find kenya (a 9-year-old who is also the cutest and craziest 'sista' ive met) elaine and i in the pool at our villa. sometimes, i would splash water on Nona, the golden retriever aka our watch dog and she would scurry away.

three days in Bali, we've already accomplished a lot of things that we planned. we when to go eat in a local restaurant and river rafting. now i should probably tickle kenya more and torture her! more details tomorrow (:

New post on blogger

Hi, though there's prob no one out there reading this. Hi anyways.

Let me talk a little bit more about myself. i am a student from hong kong and i just turned 16 this may. in order to practice my english throughout the summer, i have decided to start a blog and write about everything everyday this summer. just to let you guys know, i tend to ramble a lot, so mind my gibberish (: this blog will be my rambling, complaining, sharing, and (if you like)showing-off blog. this is also like a daily reflecting and english corner for me, so please feel free to comment on my grammar and of coz my article. hope you guys will enjoy this.

June 2010 had been a hectic month. i have skipped half a month of school to attend to a course in stanley, hong kong. i've met a bunch of nice girls from HKIS. Sophie, who is living in the states now, came to HK to attend to this course, which made the classes extra special. the course lasted about 2 and a half weeks. it was a blast. today is the last day i'd probably ever going to meet sophie again. aww:( sophie is my favorite out of the bunch.

As usual, we went to regalia bay clubhouse in stanley at 9. i brought a cake that i bought from parkn'shop. i was scared that my cake would melt, but luckily it didn't. though i slept at 3am last night, i was pumped for today's activities. the girls and i watched Shawshank Redemption, a movie inspired from a stephen kings novel. that movie is amazing! i would definitely recommend people to go watch it!

after the movie, the girls and i put on our bathing suit and went swimming. we got to meet ms paik's 7-year-old son, andrew lenk. He is such a ball of energy... and swearwords. he literally called miss paik a fat ass. the girls and i exchanged looks. Boy, i don't have the guts to day that in front of my parents. not that swearing is that big of a deal, but my parents just don't like offensive words. poor miss paik, she laughed it off like it was nothing. we all had a great time noon at the pool, until the impolite lifeguards asked us to leave. we played marco polo, color, and freeze tag(i forgot the exact names). it was fun.

after that, we all got invited to have lunch at ms paik's place. we ate korean sushi and some korean meatballs. they are delicious! andrew's soo lucky! with a big house, a big brother, and a killer sea view from their house. this kid is spoiled! speaking of which, when the housemaid took the cake out and i saw the soft and mushy filling, i thought to myself "oh shit, it's spoiled." because i thought that the cake was suppose to be a cheesecake. But lucky, it's not suppose to be a cheese cake at all, which was a huge relief for me. after dessert, we snapped a few pictures and it was time to say goodbye. i will miss you so much sophie! denise i will still see coz she lives in hong kong, another lovely girl!

the long ride home exhausted me. i can't stand the heat no more, so i took a shower. as i was showering, i thought about what i was going to do this summer. i decided to start a blog, and this is it. bye for now guys, im going to take nap.
